Default Evictions without public votes need to stop

I can't remember when they first did these, but I remember thinking it was a terrible idea when they did and I still think it's a slap in the face to viewers and especially voters. Austin probably didn't top the PV, but let's say he did and did so with 70% of the vote, only to then get evicted via a twist 10 minutes later. Forget it's Austin for a moment, and just think about the situation they are putting themselves in with this stupidity. It is alienating to the fans of the show to do things like this.

It's infuriating. Eviction is our job and we've had two walker's. 4 people left the house and we decided one.

tbf evictions without a public vote gave us both Ryan's and Austin's evictions which were just iconic

but I think they should do 1 a year at max

The show survived perfectly well for about 14 or so years without any back before Channel 5 urinated all over it. How about they look back on that and understand what works and what does not? Maybe you should as well.

I agree, but when it means Ryan, Marlon and Austin is gone, I'm not arsed.

The point is simply that if you allow it to happen to people you don't like, and celebrate it, then you've given the green light for it to happen to those you do like. Perhaps immediately after you've just voted for that person to stay in.

This show is on its last legs anyway, thanks to nonsense like this. So maybe it deserves to just be axed.

Didn't say it shouldn't happen to those I do like? I can think "damn that's a ****ty way to be evicted!" and also think "oh lmao i didn't like them, bye then"

How about, given the premise of the show is that the public decide who goes and who ultimately wins, do away with these evictions altogether? You know, like how it has been for the overwhelming majority of the shows history, back when it was watchable. Alternatviely, carry on with this sort of thing and watch it just get worse and worse.

I agree with that? I just couldn't give a **** if they do or don't, them removing those evictions won't really 'change' anything or make it more bearable. It'd just be a case of 'well at least we have a ****ty winner we chose and evicted the wrong housemates with no interference'

I know people bitch about house evictions being fundamentally wrong but they're almost always hilarious? The only one with a truly devastating result was Danielle's in BB15.

They're not hilarious when you actually think of the implications of them. But apparently both the producers and the few people who are still watching want to urinate over the show together these days, I don't know.

When you start making exceptions to this sort of thing because you hated that particular housemate and enjoyed watching him/her get upset at being on receiving end of it, you've pretty much thrown your integrity out of the window.

The implications are that douches like Marlon, Ryan, and Austin are evicted in epic, humiliating fashion and my enjoyment of the show increases BBUK is a show of very little integrity to begin with, let's not pretend like this is a new trend that started two years ago with Armageddon Week in BB15.

There was nothing epic about it and if you think it was "epic" then you have exceedingly low standards. it was utterly pointless and just alienated people who voted for him to stay and continued to damage the format of the show.

Yes, so after 15 years of the show being on the air they have started doing this in the last 2 years. That's a rather new thing and unfortunately they get away with it and ruining the show even more than they already have because people like you lap it up.

It went my way this time so I'm not too upset but I do agree HMs shouldn't to decide that, atleast they didn't know what they were doing though which probably saved my favs
