the very worst thing was that Aaron told them the kidnappers said they would call him again and the cops turned his phone on aeroplane mode and missed two calls that would have led them right to the creep and saved Denise from the 2nd rape. And one of those imbeciles was awarded police officer of the year. I'm astounded at how disgusting these men were, I don't think they even got an apology from anyone other than the journalist. 2.5 million was not enough compensation for what they were put through

It was certainly made much worse by the police, and the FBI, but it was historically over years that the guy had been doing it and the police didn't give a crap at any stage. When they actually started targeting the victims and actively discrediting them was where it got me. My thoughts were that the police were part of the gang that the guilty man said he was a part of

it was odd that he'd been looking to take Aaron's ex and that FBI agent was an ex of hers too. He may also just have spotted her when she lived there during his peeping tom era in that area.

…oh I looked at this the other day, it’s billed as a ‘Gone Girl’ type true story …I didn’t watch it because I wasn’t sure if I’d sleep ever again, the story is so terrifying…but I’ll give it a watch, then….

…just all kinds of wrong on every level, it’s just a whirlwind of feeling staggered …so wrong and so, so sad and just horrendous…and that the police department and officers didn’t ever admit any of what they did and one even winning an award for excellence shown in his job…and his superiors allowing that award to be given and accepted…?…I don’t know which part of all of this repulses me more…it’s just layer upon layer upon layer of wrongs…like being repeatedly raped from everyone that Denise turned to…I’m so glad for the female police officer that looked for the truth and not what she wanted the truth to be and for tying all of the crimes together…it’s impossible to say how many women she saved from the same terror and violations…he was a dangerous serial rapist and would undoubtedly have continued….
