I don't think it was good she revealed she worked in psych so early on, because now she's pigeon-holed into the box of being the "professional friend" while she is in... it's going to make it difficult for the public to warm to her since now every comment made seen as being made under an umbrella. It would've been more entertaining to let it go on a bit longer without the reveal...

I understand the difficulties ,but it honestly feels like you're giving her a huge pass. She has no problem mixing with certain housemates if she wants to, I get that Khaled and herself are from very different backgrounds...and probably wouldn't speak on the outside world.

But this is the same person who said she "doesn't hang around with Tories", and here she is besties with Nathan . She doesn't have to get on with everyone in the house. But she's coming across bitchy with it.

I just know that she will be finding her time in the house about 3 times more difficult/ taxing / challenging/ exhausting than the rest of them .

I am 99.99% certain that her brain will be working 100% of the time in there.

She will also be doubting/ second guessing her every thought and suspicion then rerunning it all through her mind repeatedly.

All the above makes you extremely tense and maybe volatile

It wasn’t a lie .. they both said that they weren’t sure about each other initially- in fact they both thought the other didn’t like them

A simple misunderstanding / misjudgment on both sides.

Ali being on the spectrum means she will be under more pressure than any of the others for many, many reasons


We experience life differently to ‘normal’ folk ..

Ali was very ill at ease watching the drag show for example- i was cringing just watching on telly

Never change a thing thing, Zizu. To me, people with ASD, are the most wonderful people to spend time with, and I’ve often said the world would be a better place if everyone was autistic. My dream has always been to own some land in the countryside, to use as an animal sanctuary, and for everyone who works there to be on the spectrum. That would be such a blissful existence.

You will have an understanding of Ali that many people won’t have, and will be aware that people on the spectrum are generally upfront and honest - they don’t usually have a sly or devious nature in my experience, as they find it difficult to lie.

And you are right to mention how exhausting it is to have these conditions, and be in a social setting for a long period of time, as it becomes overwhelming. This is why Ali is bound to withdraw from the group at some points, and just decompress. That isn’t her being aloof, which is how it can be interpreted.

Oddly enough I do volunteer forestry work and help out at an animal sanctuary … pot bellied pigs , horses, donkeys, goats ( so many goats ) lambs, geese , ducks and various types of chickens

Oh and cats and a dawg
