You would think it would seem obvious that Segun is backtracking to people. As when he originally pulled Ali to one side to apologise he acted like it was his own words, and he tried to play it off as some "joke" .... which was his desperate' get out of jail card' basically .

why couldn't he just be honest and tell the truth . But now he's pushing all the blame on Marcello, like jumping off a sinking ship... as he leaves his mate behind to drown. I don't think Hanah or Marcello will be too happy when they find out.
