A guy once stuck his tongue in my ear with no reason and i didn't slap him.

Weird that Will's first instinct was violence. It was a really light slap though.

I think Will just got the impression that the guy was trying to embarass him, like sasha baron cohen on the oscar red carpet dumping the ashes on ryan seacrest. It's really not funny.
It's trying to humiliate someone for no reason.

If you need to embarrass someone else for comedy, then you arn't a very good comic. It's really a form of bullying.

But for some reason people think it's okay to bully someone if they are rich or successful.

I don't like Will Smith, but I would probably have reacted in a similar fashion to be fair, the guy invaded his personal space, over stepped the mark. Way too personal. It would make me feel uncomfortable. So fair play to Will on this one.

The guy overstepped the boundaries but I think the slap was also a step too far on Will's behalf - but then he was reacting to an unexpected situation so I think his action can be forgiven.

it wasn't a real slap if you watch the video. It was obviously a joke slap. Will Smith is not a small or weak person, if he wanted to land a good blow he could have. It was obviously a very light slap though, as light as the kiss.

Well yeah, it's obvious he wasn't trying to hurt the guy. But a slaps completely demeaning and disrespectful however hard.

Yeah a slap is up there with spitting at someone in terms of humiliating them. But Will was within his rights to protect his personal space IMO, even if the guy wasn't meaning anything by it.
