Both have some of the greatest TV shows ever made and some of the worst dross I've ever seen.

At this moment of time most shows I watch are US based. It's only the soaps and reality shows I watch these days apart from the odd drama.

UK for panel shows, some comedies and reality TV (in general, only american reality I watch is Drag Race)

American for drama, sci-fi and drama/comedy/'dramedies'.

I watch waaay more American shows than UK now and the ones I do watch I can take or leave such as the soaps etc

As some one who has had only American TV as an option for most of my life, I'd say you Brits don't know how good you have it

Aside from the odd US drama I prefer UK tv on the whole but even so I still barely ever watch it these days anyway.
