Real had pure quality across their entire team. when Salah went off, his replacement had played about 5 mins of football this year. Bale wasnt deemed good enough to get a starting spot and scored a magnificent goal .... That's the difference

Dubravka at Newcastle would be a good replacement but you already have history in signing dodgy keeper fro Newcastle. Karius has to go for him to make the two mistake undoes all the great work done in getting to the finals. Liverpool will be linked with every half decent keeper this summer

I am amazed that Sergio Ramos was not sent off for his WWE move on Salah.

After all in the Championship this season Harlee Dean for us got sent off for the exact same challenge against Wolves at St.Andrews.

I know that it's a separate competition, but you would think that the Refs would stay consistent with what card should be shown during fouls.

Nah Liverpool looked bang average and barely threatened really, their only hope was always gonna be a flukey goal on the break or from a set piece.

Only consolation for Karius is that in the years to come the game will be mainly remembered for that goal rather than his mistakes

what i thought was interesting was the complete lack of empathy toward the goalkeeper from his team mates and manager. It was the Real players that consoled him at the time. It doesn't shout out good team spirit to me.
