It's been confirmed that no Sporting, Comedy or Political events will be going ahead due to the sad passing of her Majesty The Queen

As monarch, the Queen will be given a state funeral, which is expected to take place 12 days after her death. Specific details about the ceremony, which would have been planned for decades, have yet to be formally announced

So because of that idiotic decision to suspend ALL football last weekend and a few this weekend ( children’s included) despite all other sports going ahead as normal .. plus pubs / nightclubs/ bookies all traded as per normal..

We now face the very real prospect of having NO replays in the FA Cup for this season .

The fixture pileup from the suspended games plus the World Cup will be horrendous..

It also means that many little clubs won’t get to make a small fortune from swapping their home fixture to a big team’s ground

Didn't they have no replays last season and it worked fine

I get the arguments against it but replays can be a major hassle. Most of the time it's teams of a similar standard playing each other as well

It is a money maker for all the lower league clubs though .. enough to keep them in the black

Only if they're lucky enough to a) get a really good draw and b) get a really good result in the first leg

Normally only happens to about one lower league club a year if that

Plus don't forget the biggest problem.

We're now in the bottom three of the Championship because of the break doing Cardiff some good.

Tbf BBC Sport kinda gave away that it was to pay respect for the Queen in an OTT manner.

Liverpool & scummy Celtic were used as scapegoats imo.

And I'm gonna guess that the League Cup will be cancelled as it's the least important competition domestically.
