Default It’s time for you to be leaving

Would you want to know the time and date you would die ?

You could plan ahead and put things in place to insure your loved ones and financial affairs would be sorted.

Yeah I probably would

Although not really sure how it'd work, like if you find out you'll die at 100 does that suddenly give you free rein to eat a load of crap and smoke twenty a day

It does help.
Obviously we don’t know the exact date but it’s good to be able to talk about it and plan your farewell party.
Makes life easier for the people you love if you can talk about it all and they realise that it’s just the cycle of life.

You can do that without knowing the date

Only if it was coming in the next year or so. If it's far along in the future, I hope, I wouldn't want to know

Well no not really. I should imagine the majority of members on here have their affairs in order no? I mean most of them are close to it

I personally would not want to know when and where. However, having lost both my parents over the last 3 years and just sold their property..it makes you think about getting things in place to make it easier for your children. We made a Will years ago and explained it to our boys. Paperwork is all in place with regard to insurances and a list of who to contact etc. My Dad did all of this too.
However, we spent many a weekend at his place and although they had downsized in their remaining years they had cupboards and drawers filled with so much stuff.
My youngest son flies the nest at the end of the month leaving just the two of us and we will be looking to downsize too and move to pastures anew....and I will have a serious declutter in mind of what they may have to do in the future when we are no longer here...

Depends, sometimes people still have life insurance & will's already in place...even when they're still fit & fairly healthy...for that very reason,as anything could happen.

But I think most people don't want to dwell on it.

Nope, wouldn't want to know. I would love a guarantee that my son would be old enough to cope on his own and be living his own life but beyond that I don't want to me counting down to anything, I would rather live every day to the fullest without dreading what is to come.

Imagine though, a family with the kids on a shorter timer than the parents...that would be awful, if the kid was born and their watch said 3 years or something..parents 2ould be suffering the heartache before they should.

Not really.
I've got a will made.
I've made clear after the funerals of my Parents what my thinking is and across all the relationships of my life whether it's family, friends or just general acquaintances.
As much as I'd want to say or want to say I have done and will continue to do daily whether my life is shorter or longer.

So knowing the even approximate date of my passing wouldn't matter really.
Other than maybe expressing some thank you's to those who've been rocks to me in difficult times.
I would likely if I was told, just keep the date to myself anyhow.

Heartbreaking but they would make sure the short years they have are amazing. Better that’ than an unexpected death

Do you mind putting a poll up to see how many members have a will ?
