About 90% of all Halal and meat is stunned so banning it would probably be more straightforward from that perspective. It's Kosher meat that is non-stunned and I just don't think it would be possible to ban it due to potential religious discrimination.

The argument against that would be, "why are British traditions less important than religious ones?"
Way I see it, animal rights either matter, or don't. |

I agree. I don't eat kosher meat because I am an animal lover. I eat ethically reared, humanely slaughtered meat. I follow kosher rules other than that... In my mind, kosher and halal killing is archaic. But I think people would be shocked and appalled if they knew how much of the meat they eat in the UK is halal.
