Default Facebook To Change AGAIN

BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A change to Facebook will have people looking at you differently. The social networking giant is about to change the way your profile page appears.

Facebook Software Engineer Josh Wiseman announced the change Sunday on his Facebook blog . "Today I'm excited to introduce you to some improvements we've made to the Facebook profile, so now it's even easier for you to tell your story and learn about your friends" Wiseman blogged.

The new profile pages highlight your basic information (hometown, work experience, etc) in a simpler, easy to read format. It also features the most recently tagged photos.

New to the profile pages are something called "Featured Friends" and "Experiences". Wiseman described the Featured Friends, "You can now highlight the friends who are important to you, such as your family, best friends or teammates. Create new groups of friends, or feature existing friends lists." Experiences allow you to add specific events to your work or schooling information.

It sounds like they are incorporating some of bebo's best features, even though I don't use bebo any more, top friends sounds great. I suppose once it's just profiles changing, i wont be too bothered, it's changes to the news-feed which annoy me.

So basically they're becoming everything Bebo did earlier in the year before it's massive downfall, okay then.

At this rate Facebook will die like MySpace and Bebo did.

Then something else will jump in and take us all, or Bebo will probably rename itself and start a fresh with it's new owners.

Bebo 2.0

No but back to Facebook,

'Will make it easier to read' in other words, Make it 10 times harder.

Just more pointless changes really.
Like AOL were with Bebo, they can't ******ing sit still for 3 seconds without changing the colour of a button or something.

Seriously.
Oh well their own fault anyways.

How is it, It's Best Features?

Everything they just said about making things easier and the profile pictures, sounds identical to Bebo's 'Life Story Time Line' thing that ultimately lead to it's downfall.

It's funny,

Bebo got completely insulted by everyone for copying Facebook...

Facebook does the exact same to Bebo and it's 'Great'.

I don't like changes to facebook, I see it currently as a great format for social networking but I first began social networking on bebo and it had pretty good features. As I said already I wouldn't like changes to news-feed but there is no point in being negative about the changes because it's not going to make a difference, everyone will have to just deal with it.

Notice the massive dip?

Bebo appeared to be on a high at 2008.

The downfall begins at 2009, when Bebo imported it's new features.

If Facebook does this, and it fails too.
Bebo could literally advertise again and give itself a revamp and could jump in and take Facebook's users again.

If Bebo could go back to 2006-2008 Bebo, Facebook would be screwed especially if it takes all of Bebo's sh*t features.

Well actually,

As you said Bebo had good features.

Look where it is now, as I just showed Karl on my graph.
People don't have to deal with it.

I was on Bebo when people began leaving, I actually stuck around for a while and they change back abit once people began 'rebelling' against the new profiles.

They got rid of them and went back to what they were like before they changed Bebo.

But by that stage it was too late, people had already gone to Facebook.

If Facebook changes dramatically like Bebo did, all people have to do is leave and all Bebo's new owners need to do is hype it up abit and people will simply leave Facebook for Bebo.

It's not a matter of 'Having to deal with it'.

They either leave for Bebo, Complain so much Facebook give up and go back to normal, Or they just leave all together until something else comes along.

People wont go back to something, Bebo was what it was, it'll never be anywhere near as popular as it was.

I agree.

Everyone has left it now, It's literally like a waste land.
Now and then you see FB statuses of:

'lol at bebo x'

No one is on it anymore, I have I think it was 800 friends and they use to all have the 'Online Now' thing on under their pictures, now you're lucky to get 2 people online.

But I remember when Bebo was facing the axe,

[I kind of sound as if it was being put on trial]

I was on it that night when it was meant to be took down back in May, and then just literally days before it was meant to be 'killed' from the internet.

A new company took it on, They did say back in May they'd fix it up abit.

I haven't heard anything from them and it doesn't look like they're doing much yet.

But if they can fix it and take it away from this 'Chavy Childish' look it had, then it could win in a Battle between 'New Bebo and New and Horrible, Facebook'
