Like, Woah.
It was being shown live in classrooms all around the country as well, because the Challenger was taking the first "teacher in space". A lot of fuss was being made about the first "teacher in space". She was going to give lessons from space. So a lot of children were actually watching it blow up live in their classrooms.

Horrible tragedy. R.I.P. Apollo I, Challenger, and Columbia.
