Well there is a reality but it's filtered through the mind and every mind is different. The eye is only responsible for 10% of what you see. The other 90% is the brain. Every species sees the world in a slightly different way. Nobody knows what it actually looks like. For all we know colour is an invention of the brain. It probably is. I imagine the world looks like this odd chemical haze scattered with light from the sun.

And that's just the three dimensions that we can percieve. There's plenty more dimensions. This is all basic physics too, mind you. Not the ramblings of a deluded luncatic.

Well.

I agree 100%. And I think the more intelligent you are, the more capable you are of doing so.

No doubt. Most people who are just simple manic depressives right up to the high end of schizophrenic psychosis tend to be highly imaginative people who think far too much.

It's the right/left brain thing. Right brainers make for good nutters I think. They have it within themselves to think themselves into oblivion whereas left brainers are very logical, ordered sorts who are fairly content with things.

Yeah, I'm the same with the ocean.. It's strange as I've always felt I would like to live somewhere where I can hear the ocean at night, but I find it a very scary thing.. I love swimming but will avoid the sea at all costs!

Stu how do you know which direction your brain is?
Is there a test for it?

Well you could Google 'are you left or right brained' I guess and find some decent tests but as always with tests are certain amount of generalization is to be found. We are not one or the other anyway, just swaying heavily to one side.

I don't know if I'm left or right brained.. I am a very content, very easy going person and I don't think about things too much. However I think I COULD think too much or worry about things, but I seem to be able to shut any serious stuff out and just concentrate on the good, happy stuff..

Hahah.. I have a freind who hates any sort of human contact or affection. Some "wacky" students were going round pubs in Edinburgh one night giving away "free hugs". I actually did think she was going to vomit!

I don't think that matters. They can both worry as much as each other.

This is handy :

I can understand where you are coming from there in the sense that it gives you real people you can get to know 24/7 that you form opinions about. Whenever I watch BB I constantly think about what I would say to someone or how I would act in the house if I was in such and such a situation. It's the one thing Big Brother's a revolution in moreso than any book or film. Just getting to know every little nuance about an ordinary person.

Re : Shyness : I used to be really like that. I think it's something a lot of people grow out of eventually to the point where now I am completely incapable of understanding it. People are by and large lovely. They are just like you and they won't bite if you talk to them. Communication and contact with other people is a great thing.

I think it's booze. Once shy people hit that age where they start drinking it really opens up a door because nobody is shy when they drink. It's impossible.

i know im not the age to drink but in the past i have massively, one of my downfalls really. i have long back story to my conditions and drink is what put me into part of my mess that got me addicted to bb. im not going to bore anyone with the details because i dont want to share my life story nor look as if im asking for sympathy but yea ive been down that road but didnt go about it the right way.

I don't like people touching me ...unless I want them to

Also not great with first impressions, public speaking, karaoke and talking online. I'd rather be sat opposite someone (unless I dislike them)

No, I mean online lol. Like MSN, Facebook chat, occassionally on here. Some things can be taken out of context, misread and I feel I don't talk as fluently as I would if someone were right in front of me

When you're in the tube sitting on the seat near the door and a group of hot guys, especially foreign walk in. Hot boys make me nervous.

Oh yes me too. It goes back to the fact that when I was young we had two dogs and one of them bit my sisters friend leg without any reason. It's like it was suddenly possesed. The friends flesh and blood came off like watermelon. Since then I don't trust dogs. Even little ones. I hate when there's a curb or a narrow path to walk through because some people just leave their dogs without a leech and they could be running towards me. scares me to death

-Bugs that can fly e.g bees, wasps.
-Roller coasters (when I'm in the queue for one).
-Standing in the middle of my bedroom with no lights on, I always think something is gonna jump out and grab me. :'(
-Talking to people on the phone.
