I have to be honest and say I feel sorry for her. We don't know the full story, and I really like people who speak their minds, I just think she's very misguided in her thoughts. Trial by media is unnacceptable in my view.

At the end of the day, there's no harm done really is their other than a few bruised egos, mostly her own.

It worries me far more what was happening to her son, but nobody seems to care about that really.

That's what I was most worried about too tbh. Of course people shouldn't be verbally abused like that while they're travelling home, minding their own business but at the end of the day, it's her poor child who has to live with her and will most likely end up with the same attitude as her.

Sometimes you try to hard Fruitcake imo. Coming from someone who lived and worked in another country FC, I do wonder how you would have reacted if you were subjected to this type of abuse from a Spaniard.

As for her son, you might want to read the comments that many posters have made comment on...... far from 'nobody seems to care about that really' - you'll see the young child was given much consideration in respect of his foul mouthed, racist mother's disgraceful behaviour and it's affect on him (and the effect this may have on him).

Sorry but I completely disagree, we know all too well how dangerous racism can be and what it can lead to so to say "there's no harm" done is almost making light of it IMO, and saying that she's only speaking her mind essentially gives legitimacy to her view

Well they've been subjected to racial abuse, sure she hasn't physically harmed anyone or anything but ideas can be dangerous too, I'm not necessarily saying she should be arrested but it's important to stamp out racism wherever it occurs IMO

Being called a foreigner is what you were. You were a foreigner in a country that was not of your origin. That's not a racist comment. That's a factual comment and not a criminal offence.

I'm tired of defending her, her actions are something that I personally feel absolutely disgusted by like anyone else, but I think she deserves a fair trial and not one by the mob and the mass media. I don't think the people on that train really were really that damaged by what she did.

I think that there is an argument that says the hate mob will turn more people into racists like her because they try to make everything into a black and white, 'either justify our hatred or we'll call you a racist too' ultimatum. That's how it feels to me anyway.
