Default Peter Stringfellow to be a father for third time at 72...

Quote:
Peter Stringfellow has announced that he is to become a father for a third time.

The 72-year-old nightclub owner confirmed the news of his first child with third wife Bella, 30, at a private party at his Angels club last night (February 7).

He already has two children from a previous relationship. He is a father to Karen, who is married and lives in Florida, and Scott, who works for his company.

Stringfellow married dancer Bella in Barbados on Valentine's Day in 2009, and is due to have the baby in August.

He told surprised guests: "The reason we got you all here is because Bella and I are thrilled to announce we are expecting our first baby."

The couple met at Stringfellow's London club, which he opened back in 1980.

Stringfellow said back in July that he and Bella were hoping to start a family. He said: "When you get married to a young woman you can't say no to children.

"So a lot of that selfishness in me has gone and for the first time in my life I've been totally faithful for nine years.

"My last child was born 48 years ago, so I'm up for the challenge. I know it's going to be tough, so of course we'll have nannies - a night nanny, and a day nanny and a holiday nanny and an aeroplane nanny. I'm ready for the hardship.

"I've also got four fantastic grandchildren and I spoil them rotten. I'm madly in love with all of them - but not the sort of grandfather that takes them to the park every Sunday."

Last month he announced his intention to stand against Nick Clegg in Sheffield at the 2015 general election.

He said: "I don't want to be Hugh Hefner... so a bit later on in life I like the idea of going into politics."

OMG. Well congratulations to them I guess.

I'm not a father but that's a bit strange. The kid will only has his mother after 8/9 years if he/she's lucky

I don't think it's that selfish,. It's his FIRST child. If he had a bunch of kids by a bunch of different baby mommas then i'd say it's ridiculous, but hey, he left 1 child in the world, it's not that bad.

Good on him for at least having the sense to not have a dozen kids with all the hundreds of sluts(no offense ladies) i'm sure he's been with.

his mom will love him, and hopefully she'll choose a good partner, so he'll have a good step dad. i don't see anything wrong with that.

Who cares? We need to let go of the traditional definitions of family. let people live their own lives. even if he isn;t around to be a great dad, this kid will still have more opportunities than most kids in poverty.

I don't think it's very wise anybody over a certain age (of which I don't know) should have any more kids. Yeah he's got money and when he's gone it won't be a finacial burden as much as it would with non-celebrities but the kid still won't have his father. It'll probably feel something that I can't comprehend for the rest of its life.

No reason why he can't live for a good more 20 years or so, seems to be in good health and is still getting the job done

I think you are looking at things through a very old school heterocentric religious lens.

I think you can find a lot of people that would tell you that their dad was a force of BAD in their childhood. A lot of people would tell you that they'd be better off without their Dad. Having a Dad in your life is NOT always a Good thing.

Well trust me, there are plenty of Dads in the world that do more harm than good in their children's lives.
