Exactly. If somebody wanted to ruin a funeral by doing something stupid then they are a very small person and don't deserve any praise. If people want to have parties about her death, do it, but don't ruin somebodies funeral, where their family members are there to grieve. Disgusting

I agree.. which I why they shoukd have kept it small and private. This fawning from the media and softening this horrible woman's actions with rose tinted glasses has riled people. I personally would hate for anybodys funeral to be marred in any way, but I think the government and the media, knowing how strongly a lot of the country feel about her, have created a lot of bad feeling.

BTW, I dont want the funeral to be ruined. Its just the only way I would actually watch the highlights. I hate funerals fullstop, I hate even having to attend family members/friends funerals (that sounds awful though). Too depressing and boring. SO no way would I chose to watch a run of the mill funeral with mass fawning over someone I dislike in the first place :S

Well you might not think her legacy and the ideology of Thatcherism which is still prevalent today and dictates successive governments policies might not need to be condemned, or that those who felt the brunt of her time in office have the right to air their disgust at this endless adulation she is being given and all her critics are being silenced (even by the publicly funded state broadcaster), and that to fund this over the top ceremony with tax payers money whilst disabled people and those at the bottom are being trampled on (ironically as a result of her ideology) is disgraceful, but a lot of people do. Why people are expected to put up and shut up I'm really not sure, Thatcherism isn't over, the canonisation of the woman is beyond appalling and the way all of this is being funded by tax payers, with celebrities and the Queen invited, Big Ben silenced and the BBC censoring her opponents is unsurprisingly pissing a lot of people off, even those who are neutral towards her.

You do realise I know you're not the only one who thinks this? Of course closing the roads/spending whatever amount of money on this is wrong when she could've had just a family funeral but she was a big figure in the UK, this was bound to have happened. I'm pretty neutral on this matter, I don't despise her/want the funeral to go wrong neither do I want it to be shoved in people's faces and have loads of money spent on it.

I am appreciating the momentus lengths our country can go to to remember somebody. It's moving and makes me feel proud, regardless of who it is.
