to those who obv are in some form of education or training

I'm not even sure :/ I'm applying to do linguistics at university (on the brink of sending off my form) because it looks interesting to me and I honestly don't see myself enjoying any other course. With linguistics I could go into journalism, speech therapy, teaching or something along those lines, and whilst I find those quite suited to me and would hate to work in jobs which a science/maths degree would lead me into I still worry about whether I'll be able to secure employment that's both decent paying and enjoyable

It worries me even more that my brother who graduated with a degree in Maths with Management & Finance back in 2011 STILL can't find a job, when that's 10000x better than what I'm planning to do

But then my other brother who flopped his A-levels and didn't go uni was able to get a job working for the council earning Ł30k, which gives me hope. Although he got fired a few weeks ago LOL. I'm sure he'll pick himself up though because he has good experience & good links. Plus he was fired from another council job before lmao

So glad I'm in my final year. I'm doubtful though because I've gone from loving art and graphic design to genuinely being sick to the back teeth of it.

They say try to find something you love so it doesn't feel like work, but I'm worried doing what I love as a job will kill my passion for it.
