it's basically a nickname for all those teenage/adolescent guys who always complain online about how "girls go for the bad guys" and "nice guys finish last" and all that moany crap whilst they act like they're gentlemen or whatever because they wear fedoras and talk like "good day, my sir"

idk where brony came from for them though because bronies are entirely different things (guys who find My Little Pony fanfic hot?)
