Yep!

In terms of 'first' dates...

4 were 'drinks' that ended up in bars/clubs. 1 was just a casual drink. 1 was a walk to a dock. Actually none have been "terrible experiences" to be honest.

...somebody take me on one.

We worked together and gradually copped off but there was never a date. In fact she followed me home one night after the pub (which in 90s london advertising was every night) and it sort of started that way - naturally i was with someone else at the time

i have been on 1 it was absolutely awful. it was a double date and i promised my friend i'd go with.

we just went to the beach but the girl was emo (and she didn't like me but she was horrid anyway so ha)

Answering the thread, I went on dates I didn't know were dates, I went on real dates where he asked me out, and I went out with guys where I thought it was a date and they didn't.

I think dating in general is messy and awkward at the beginning. It isn't until you know someone outside of those initial moments that it becomes easy.
