Hearing someone chewing is possibly the worst ever sound. Disgusting. It's nice that you enjoy your food but I don't want to hear the evidence.

I hate it when people chew with their mouths open or talk whilst eating. Please and thankyou is a must. We always eat at the table, but unless we have guests we all read while we eat.

I can't say I have anything that particularly bothers me if I'm out for dinner with someone... only manners I'd really expect are being polite to the waiter / other staff, I think.
I don't mind if they check their phone from time to time (depends how often obviously ) and I don't really pay that much attention to how people eat their food (unless it's really noticeably gross).
