Alleged or not, that case still has a court date which is more than can be said for any of the accusations thrown at Hillary.

To think the majority of Americans actually voted for Hillary, makes the whole thing even worse. The thing I've never understood about this line of reasoning is that the criticisms of her actions whilst in various state offices are obviously subject to scrutiny but then the assumption that Donald Trump would've handled everything absolutely differently and Always Done The Right Thing™ is just incredibly naive. I understand the motives behind anti-establishment voting but the figures that people are placing their faith in - billionaires from birth with no experience of real working struggles, let alone global diplomacy - is just so so bizarre.

I think there are comparisons to be made; as you said yourself, the result is down to a frustrated and ignored population rallying behind something "different" that they don't fully understand.

However, that's not to say that it will be a "Nazi Germany situation" - because as I said before, I don't think Trump truly believes half of the rhetoric he used to gain votes. There's not real "passion" behind his various "-isms" and he's unlikely to actually act on any of them. He will focus primarily on the economy / isolationist ("Made By American Hands With American Stuff!") business idealism that he has, and make a bit of a mess there, and then he'll be voted out in 4 years.
