I like to start everything in December, I dont see this like a chore that the earlier it gets done the better as that devalues what you are doing. Plenty time to get it all done in that month and it stops the bleed and devaluation of the holiday.

My son is away working this Christmas, first Christmas ever without him, so I kind of had to shop early so that I have gifts ready for the time window in early December where I can meet him and give them to him to take with him.

It does feel a bit early though!

I'm done now apart from my oh's

Going to enjoy sitting in the shopping centre, sipping some tea and having a nice vanilla slice watching everyone running around like headless chickens the next few weeks

If you have now completed your Christmas gift shopping why will you be in a shopping centre? Surely the idea of your plan is to spend the time now doing things that interest you like walking in the countryside, swimming or visiting old relatives?
