I just don't understand how a producer can "fix the show" and maintain a good quality for several months, then completely destroy it again in the space of a single episode.
It was going well up until the final fifteen minutes of the New Year's episode. |

Mess at Shirley's new story being a romance with that Polish dude.

We need a good balance between SOC, a guy who seems to have whipped the writing staff into shape when it comes to basic script and share out screen time amongst the cast fairly well (most of the time) and DTC, who had great plot ideas and a big vision for the show.

To be honest though no matter what SOC did from now on, I'll always have him as the worst producer just because of the shambles of a decision that axing and then killing Ronnie and Roxy was.

It's not even the fact that he chose to kill them off, for me, it's the completely unprofessional way in which he handled it on-screen. He quite clearly had some sort of issue with one or both of the actresses.
I also couldn't care less for Jack anymore. I don't understand why he's still there when DTC only brought him back so as to reunite him with Ronnie. |

When SOC insists that high drama characters like R&R don't fit in with his lower profile EastEnders I present him with this.
Ronnie and Roxy decorating the new council office when they take over bin control.

I could've coped with them dying in a big storyline that made sense. As it is, ugh, I wish Sam Womack had never returned. At least Ronnie would be out there. Last edited by Marsh.; 14-02-2017 at 01:29 AM. |

I was going to attempt to cheer you up by saying "well at least we've still got..." but who on earth have we still got?

I find it quite laughable how Lauren nowadays just seems to "show up".

Why don't they give her more to do with Sylvie? Explore more of their relationship? It's literally the most interesting thing Shirley's been involved in for a long time.
SOC is just so FECKING DULL!!!! |
