A lovely little ritual that allows those dark Autumn evenings to settle in.

![]() It's basically so the limited amount of daylight we can have during winter is moved to a more "convenient" time for everyone. Although, an hour makes no difference to me. Last edited by Marsh.; 01-11-2017 at 12:44 PM. |

Remembering Kerry

I think they should just stop doing it.
I see little as to convincing points as to continuing it. |

Ugh, I do. I used to hate walking to school in pitch black with the street lights on.

It's a good thing.
The roads can get icy overnight in the cold winter months so shifting the hours back can reduce accidents by having lighter mornings... And shifting the hours forward in the Summer allows for warmer, longer days which help crops, and clamps down on energy/electricity usage (lighting in homes, for example) And several other reasons too. Well I turned up an hour early for work this morning!
I clearly don't look at my watch very often or perhaps I just need glasses ![]()

I think we should just stick to the same time all year round. but not BST.
We should stick with GMT to display our dominance over the world. Especially with Brexit coming up. Britain will rule the waves once more Last edited by UserSince2005; 01-11-2017 at 07:07 PM. |
