Cats are great, they may not be as openly affectionate as Dogs or some other pets, but they can have great quirky little personalities and I love the rebellion that Cats love to do. And they do express their affection in a very different way to other animals.

I've never had a Dog although I would love to have a Siberian Husky someday.

...I adore cats.....I’ve always been more of a dog person as I’ve always known dogs more through childhood...but now I have grand-kittens...I’m becoming a cat lady...I have two grand-kittens...one male and one female...the male is like a teddy bear, thinks he’s a bear...he loves cuddles and fuss...the female is more independent and aloof...she’s a glorious diva.....they’re such individuals, like people I guess...she’s very protective with her brother...but then she’s fine to kill him herself because she’s his sister...so only she can be mean to him...as is often the way with siblings...but yeah, they’re completely adorable...amazing cats.....

There was an Asian guy on tv not so long ago gave five grand for a rare cat, his own cats had a litter and he was selling them for 800 each.

And the one currently in my lap is toasty and warm and purring like a motorbike so hardly cold or aloof.

I like all animals and I would have said I was a dog person, it was my son who likes cats but I ended up mothering them. They are all characters and with a dog they pack and are loyal and faithful, with a cat they aren't so if they do like you it's kind of an honour!

All mine are rescued and have their own story. The only boy is a big soppy teddy bear. His sister is pure white and is an absolute princess. The plump tabby like her grub and is the smartest cat I've ever had, she's really really clever. I think she's going to start talking to me any day now. The little one was found abandoned in a cage when she was about six months old and someone was going to drown her because she couldn't find a shelter that wasn't full so I took her and is tiny for an adult cat. I think she might have been a real runt of the litter. What she doesn't have in size she makes up for in personality. She's the boss.

..one of my grand kittens...the female one who is more the independent who doesn’t like cuddles so much...many times my son and his partner would bring them both to visit over the last while, just so I could see them...and strangely she was the one who would hug up to me and lay with me for hours and hours, just laying there hugging me...I always felt she was giving me cat powers, like cat woman had ...and giving me strength to get through many days...she’s a very special little ‘rock’...cats are just the most incredible and amazing and ‘sensing’ things......
