That story would be creeeeeeepy if it was true. It's unlikely to happen anyway but it's possible.. there's definitely some weird stalker/psycho people out there. Although I don't think it means people shouldn't use Tinder and stuff but to just always be a little careful with new people you meet in general.

In all seriousness though, the VAST, VAST majority of people you meet anywhere (be that in a bar, or on a website) are not going to be out to harm anyone and the chances of meeting up with someone who seems totally normal when chatting on the app, but then turns out to be a murderer, are minuscule. I mean yeah if you start meeting up with people who are already coming across as weird when chatting, that's going to significantly increase the risk... but even then, the most likely scenario is that they'll just be a bit weird.

That said, giving out your home address to someone you've only chatted to a couple of times via messages probably isn't the best idea. You don't even know if they're the person in the picture.
