It was the local Chief Inspector of Police who instructed his men to advise the butcher Twosugars not the Health Inspector.

My butcher is famous for his 'well-hung meat' but he only sells Meatballs in a type of gravy which dribbles when they are eaten and it's always obvious when a local housewife has had the butcher's balls on their chins.

"is that your Ayrshire bacon"

he replied

"no am jist warming me hands"
