It sounds odd but I can kind of get the reasoning. Teaching kids from a young age is vital around things like this and just like learning to speak you have to start when they don't understand, then they learn

It's about starting to teach kids from a very young age about communication and consent, they don't really understand but then they don't understand you speaking to them either when they're babies so one could say that it's also stupid to speak to them because they don't understand you ...................but that's how they learn

Why does this self proclaimed expert know better than a parent what's best for their child?

Who is saying she knows better than a parent for what's best for them though? It's a suggestion on how to teach them something from a young age, as a parent myself I think it makes sense

This is a suggestion about raising children with a good concept of consent, a specific type of communication. Skills is a plural word, there's more than one. So, your ire is a bit misplaced.

was just going to post this, I'm all for teaching kids about keeping themselves safe but asking a babies permission to change a nappy is stretching it ...pun intended.
