Yeah, I saw this quite a while ago. She defended herself by saying that she takes the meat and feeds it to local villages that are low on food. There's a difference between killing an animal specifically for food and killing an animal because you like to kill things and then giving the meat away afterwards instead of just dumping it. In other words her motivation for killing that beautiful, rare, majestic animal wasn't food. I don't know how much a trip like that from the US costs but I'm betting however much it was would have fed these starving villages for a hell of a lot longer than the giraffes meat..........
