Sooo... I wouldn't assume that just because most ADULTS didn't know anything about it, that most kids didn't. They seem to have their own little grapevine and have been talking about Momo for quite a while.
My son said exactly the same thing. He has parental controls on his tablet and no access to social media but knew ALL about Momo.
