I agree with this. You need quite a big one for it to work.
Secret to chips is to cook them on a really low heat eg 100 till they are soft then blast them at full whack until golden brown. Crispy chips, fluffy on the inside ever time.
I like to do chicken wings then finish off in the oven. It was a Friday night ritual during lock down.
