![]() ![]() Jeremy Clarkson’s The Grand Tour co-star James May has spoken for the first time following the broadcaster’s controversial column attacking Meghan Markle. The former Top Gear host made headlines for all the wrong reasons last year after he wrote a hate-filled column for The Sun on his feelings towards the Duchess of Sussex. Clarkson, 62, shared that he despises Meghan on a ‘cellular level’ and wishes to see people ‘throw lumps of excrement’ at her. He also said that he hates Prince Harry’s wife more than he does Nicola Sturgeon, the First Minister of Scotland, and the serial killer Rose West. After issuing an apology to the couple – which they have rejected, claiming Clarkson didn’t contact Meghan individually – May has hit out, branding Clarkson’s column ‘creepy.’ Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, the 60-year-old did admit that he hadn’t read the full column because he had been ‘away.’ However, he was soon informed by host Martha Kearney about what had been written. He said: ‘Well I think he [Clarkson] did say something like: “All people my age think the same way”. ‘Well I’d like to go on record and say I don’t, and I’m only a few years younger than him,’ May stated. Asked if he would condemn the article, he replied: ‘I wouldn’t have written that.’ ‘I think it sounds a little bit too creepy but I’m also very much in favour of free speech and allowing the “haters to hate” so we can see what they have to say,’ he said. https://metro.co.uk/2023/01/30/jerem...etroukfacebook
