Is it really that new though? Granted, it's more talked about and visible these days but the concept of there being people who are transgender has been common knowledge for decades at this point. I mean, we are talking about this on a Big Brother forum, a show that was won by a trans woman 20 years ago, and then a trans man over a decade ago. I just assumed that most people were long past the stage of being confused on whether they are just gay men/women. It's not
that new or groundbreaking.
