Stand by what I said, a teacher doesn’t and should not have the right to out a child to their parents. If you think they do then you’re an awful person. Simple as really.

It's not really that simple. There are cases where it's implicitly inevitable.
Here's something that happened in a school I was working at; I didn't directly work with either child, so it had nothing to do with me. So thankfully I didn't need to be involved too much.
But there were two lads who were ... not exactly "going out", but both liked each other. They were planning a sleepover, and in the circumstances it was a safeguarding issue, due to age of consent.
If they were a boy and a girl, the school would immediately tell both sets of parents, almost automatically. But of only one was out to his family, which murkied the waters a bit.
