It's kind of hard for me to explain, but I think men and women always think that they have to protect the opposite sex.
Like when a woman cries and is in a more vulnerable place (mentally) normally it'll be a guy that will comfort her, and vice versa, if a guy is crying then it'll normally be the woman that approaches the guy to see if he is okay.
Because sub-consciously I do think that men and women see the opposite sex in different ways as the more vulnerable half, and therefore needs to be protected, obviously you can interpret these feelings as sexist, but Human nature in some ways can be interpreted that way I suppose, and it isn't always a good thing imo to make Human Beings operate in a way that isn't natural to us as a species.
I hope that I'm:
1. Making sense.
And 2. Not sounding like a complete nutjob.
And imo children are definitely the most vulnerable people in our species, so they definitely need to be protected from anything potentially dangerous.
