Because sub-consciously I do think that men and women see the opposite sex in different ways as the more vulnerable half, and therefore needs to be protected, obviously you can interpret these feelings as sexist, but Human nature in some ways can be interpreted that way I suppose, and it isn't always a good thing imo to make Human Beings operate in a way that isn't natural to us as a species.

And 2. Not sounding like a complete nutjob.
And imo children are definitely the most vulnerable people in our species, so they definitely need to be protected from anything potentially dangerous.
