The irony is some will say that a "smattering of whinge" is some indicator that that person is troubled within... which is ironic, because being overly concerned with one's minor issues to the point of obsession inevitably leads to chronic anxiety... and there's too many traps like that in society... I don't blame people for oversharing to some degree, because I think our respective culture is heavily influenced by anxiety-based thinking (per hyper-vigilance) and when it involves two people with a shared neurosis (both on opposite sides) then it's like watching each person pick at scabs...
You and him have a lot more in common than you both realize because you both obsess over the details and are people-centric... and y'all both like to go against the grain with great force...
