![]() Taylor Swift has announced her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, set for release on October 3, 2025. The date choice is deliberate, with the numbers adding up to Swift’s well-known lucky number 13. The album was written and recorded in Sweden during breaks on the European leg of her Eras Tour. Swift has reunited with long-time collaborators Max Martin and Shellback, the team behind reputation, 1989, and Red. The project marks a return to upbeat, polished pop following the introspective tone of The Tortured Poets Department. The Life of a Showgirl embraces a theatrical, cabaret-inspired style, with a visual identity built around feathers, sequins, and a bold orange colour palette. The album artwork features Swift in a crystal-embellished outfit while submerged in a bathtub, with a dramatic short black bob hairstyle. The 12-track album features no additional “vault” songs. The complete tracklist is as follows: 1.The Fate of Ophelia 2.Elizabeth Taylor 3.Opalite 4.Father Figure (George Michael cover) 5.Eldest Daughter 6.Ruin the Friendship 7.Actually Romantic 8.Wi$h Li$t 9.Wood 10.CANCELED! 11.Honey 12.The Life of a Showgirl (featuring Sabrina Carpenter) Swift announced the project during an appearance on the New Heights podcast, hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce. The episode broke viewing records and drove significant online discussion. Pre-orders are available now for vinyl, cassette, and CD editions, the latter including a poster. Industry expectations are high, with early indicators pointing toward another major commercial success for the artist.
