Just my feelings on TayTay.

12 albums in 20 years and she’s still breaking every touring, streaming, and sales record going. She’s won 14 Grammys, including Album of the Year three times — the only artist ever to do it. Every album goes multi-platinum, she writes or co-writes every track, and she’s mastered multiple genres. She even disappeared from the spotlight for years after the Kanye West and Kim Kardashian mess, only to come back bigger than ever

Her lyrics are incredible.

• Taylor Swift – ~245 songs in 18 years (11 original albums, 4 re-records, EPs, soundtracks, standalone tracks)
• Ed Sheeran – ~120 songs in 14 years (6 studio albums, EPs, collaborations)
• Beyoncé – ~170 songs in 21 years (7 studio albums, soundtracks, deluxe editions)
• Adele – ~58 songs in 17 years (4 studio albums, bonus tracks)
• Drake – ~275 songs in 15 years (8 studio albums, mixtapes, collaborations)
• The Beatles – ~213 songs in 8 years (13 albums plus singles and B-sides)

Taylor’s output is among the highest for a top-tier mainstream act, especially considering she writes or co-writes every track and often produces them. The only contemporary with a similar volume is Drake, but his release style is rap-mixtape heavy rather than carefully crafted albums.

Yeah I am saying that quantity is a bad thing. What happens to her in the space of 2 years for her to be able to produce an album of songs with any significant meaning?

I am not saying she isn't successful, she evidently is. I'm just saying personally I think her songs are poor and her producing 12 albums in 20 years shows that.

I personally cannot agree her lyrics are incredible, her lyrics to me are like candy floss - sweet and a bit addictive but ultimately they have no substance.

Don't even get me started on her CO2 output.

Just my opinion

I’d agree for most of her albums, but there has been a few which have been pretty good too tbf - Red (Taylor’s version) and Evermore I actually really enjoyed.

If you can say that about her lyrics then I’m afraid you just haven’t listened to enough of her songs.
Which evidently haven’t because she’s not your thing.

Her last album was 31 songs

…it feels as though the UK BB eye for autumn 2025 has been the inspiration for her album cover colour choices…

The one blonde that the Far Right doesn't drool over.

Good luck to her.

Both girls are pretty tbf.

Vocal I will personally agree with you.

And I don't follow either girl enough to know who's the better dancer.

Both are hugely successful artists tbf.

And we surely can agree that both are better than Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo.

That doesn't mean it'll be more commercial.

In fact I would argue that most of what I would consider to be the best singers or the best songs rarely ever are the most successful.

I feel sorry for the other singers being put in a list with Drake.

His Music is barely above Justin Bieber level imo.

If we are including the Beatles then it’s fair to mention that a ridiculously high % of their songs were 10/10 ones .. far higher than any other artist

There was something a while back where they said the sheer number of absolutely amazing songs put them on a level with all the legendary composers like Schubert, Brahms and Mozart etc etc

you can't compare Dua Lipa and Taylor Swift honestly

Dua has a more 80s synth pop sound anyway

while Taylor is more versatile and can do either country pop and regular pop

I quite like a few of Taylor’s songs out of hundreds… I really like the vast majority of Dua’s stuff

Dua is constantly improving as a singer/ performer- she hated having to dance initially but she’s hard to tell apart from her backing dancers nowadays

As regards Taylor Swift… I tried her last album and hated it ..as I recall only one track was decent — sounded like she was trying something different

I’m really not a Taylor fan tbh, haven’t listened to any of her stuff since the ‘Lover’ album but something’s kind of intriguing me about this new album, i like the vibe and the aesthetic of it.. i’ll see what the lead single is giving
