Default Celeb Come Dine With Me at Christmas looks like it will be a classic

Its car crash TV at its best as it is, but reading this its going to be hilarious

Quote:
Loose Women presenter Sherrie Hewson and ex-EastEnder Hannah Waterman forgot it was the season of goodwill as they shared a very unseemly spat on a Christmas special edition of the foodie show Come Dine With Me.

The unseasonal row began when Waterman served up stilton and broccoli soup to her fellow contestants on the Channel Four show.

But what happened next shocked fellow diners David Gest and Diarmuid Gavin - and will take viewers by surprise.

Sherrie, 59, angered the younger actress by refusing to eat her soup starter.

The outspoken Loose Women star said: 'I have to say broccoli and stilton gives me catarrh. This will stay with me for days.'

But things took a turn for the worse when she tried to make peace - by giving 34-year-old Hannah a book on the menopause.

Host Hannah told the Daily Mirror: 'I thought maybe it would be OK in 10 years' time but I was slightly offended.

'She managed to stab the knife into me twice.'

The actress, who is currently starring in Calendar Girls, was handed Lady Lipgloss - the Mature Woman's handbook, by Sherrie Hewson.

During the show, each of the four contestants cooks for the others over four nights in a bid to win the title of best dinner party host.

David Gest said: 'I get along with all of them'.

But he admitted that he had a soft spot for Sherrie, who threw a fancy dress party, and added: 'I want to produce her on the West End stage, she’s absolutely one of the funniest women I have ever met in my life.

'She served her dinner in a mink stole, totally drunk,' he said.

Meanwhile, Diarmuid Gavin cooks a traditional Irish Christmas dinner, complete with reindeer and Edwardian carol singers.

During Sherrie's meal, Diarmuid dresses up as a Christmas pudding and David as Santa’s Little Helper.

But, like Hannah's night, the evening goes from bad to worse as the guests sneak off to the local and Sherrie’s dessert ends up on the floor.

The competition draws to a close with the extravagant Mr Gest welcoming his visitors to 'David Land'.

The entire Claus family greet the guests right before Hollywood legend Mickey Rooney serenades them alongside an impressive gospel choir. Will the appearance of an A list actor be enough for David to walk away from his Yuletide soiree victorious?
