They did.
They should've just ended the damn thing with their heads held high, just as a normal show. How many other shows finish without all the melodrama? I didn't want to see 2 hours of self-obsessed nostalgia. They tried to milk it, tugging at our heart strings, and that made it fall flat. For me it did, anyway. Just let me watch the show, I thought. Stop trying to be more than you are, I thought. A monkey is cute, but dress it as a prostitute and it just looks silly.
