Matt Cardle has had a foul-mouthed fall-out with Cher Lloyd following claims she was rude to show stylist Grace Woodward, his backstage love interest.

Matt branded the 17-year-old singer-rapper a "d* * * " after a clash over her outfits at Friday's rehearsals.

A production source said: "Cher insists that she has almost total control over her outfits and basically told Grace so in a really brash manner.

"Some of the crew couldn't really believe how she spoke to her - and when word filtered back to Matt he was livid. He really cares for Grace and it was hurtful to hear about her being dissed in such a way.

"He loudly called Cher a d* * * in earshot and has been telling everyone he's not happy with her." The row has led to relations between all the contestants hitting an all-time low.

One said: "Things were already tense competitionwise and incidents like this don't help." The Mirror has previously revealed how Matt, 27, and 33-year-old Grace have been spotted kissing by production staff. She's dubbed him "Matt Cuddles" and insiders say he has become "obsessed" with her.
