I never found a problem being sober in a social situation. Even as a fairly heavy drinker every so often I'll end up out dry for the night and to be honest it's more of less the same. You get to be the quickest person in the room and you'll wake up far easier than everyone the next morning and remember all their filthy, retarded secrets they told you the night before.

I'd go stir crazy if I stayed in all the time. I'm a total nerd at heart and could easily stay in watching telly all day, every day but it comes with this nullifying sense of going absoloutely nowhere.
