Thought I'd do a quick little rundown of my top ten because...well...I like indulging in fits of tears, it seems. Caution: contains a lot of spoilers
#10: Bambi Always referred to as one of the saddest movie scenes of all time, but for me it's more frightening than anything. The silence where Bambi begins to comprehend what's happened is the cruelest part. #9: Toy Story 2 #8: Monsters, Inc. Awwww. #7: Finding Nemo Poor Marlin. #6: Toy Story 3 Although the furnace scene was pretty intense and is sometimes referred to as the show-stealer, for me it's the ending. It might be a happy one for the franchise and the characters, but it's the sad realisation that those of us who grew up with the trilogy are now adults. #5: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs The first of them all. #4: The Lion King Come on. Who didn't cry? #3: The Fox and the Hound It has an old woman, it has a goodbye, it has animals, it has a cute farewell song. It ticks all of the boxes, but it's Todd's face as she's driving away that sets me off. #2: Up I did want to put this top, and in a way it's arguably one of the greatest stories ever told in such a short time, but although her death is devastating and sets the tone for the entire film, it just can't beat saying bye-bye to a mum. The music changes are so subtle and yet so revealing, and not a word is uttered. #1: Dumbo Just thinking about it makes me shiver. Floods, every time. WHY DID I DO THIS WHY DID I MAKE THIS LIST ASAAAGH. -goes to get tissues- but yeah post your own.
