Soccer Aid is back and the whole world will be watching as England take on the Rest of The World at Manchester's Old Trafford on Sunday, 27th May, 2012 in aid of UNICEF.
Robbie Williams will once again captain the England team with Welsh movie star Michael Sheen leading the Rest of the World. Joining them on the pitch are Marvin Humes and Aston Merrygold from Britain’s biggest boy band JLS, world-famous chef Gordon Ramsay, presenter and DJ Jamie Theakston alongside footballing heroes Teddy Sheringham and Edwin van der Sar. More high-profile celebrities and football legends will be announced soon so stay tuned. This will be the fourth Soccer Aid event and the third to be hosted at Old Trafford. To date, Soccer Aid has raised a total of £6.5 million through ticket sales and donations, with all profits going to UNICEF's invaluable work helping children across the globe. Latest news! Actor James McAvoy is the latest star to join this year's Soccer Aid alongside fellow Hollywood stars Jrason Isaacs, Gerard Butler, Will Ferrell and Mike Myers. James will also be joined by Take That singer Mark Owen, comedian John Bishop, Take Me Out presenter Paddy McGuinness and pop star Olly Murs as well as football legends Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Jaap Stam.
