Default I can now confirm, the year mainstream music went downhill.

After spending the day watching 'Every Single UK Number One of The Noughties' on MTV...

I can 110% confirm, that 2009 was indeed the year that music lost meaning, and every song begun sounding the same along with the music videos looking the same.

So can we stop all this '2008 was when things got crap' bollocks - because 2008 was actually brilliant in comparison to 2009.

The whole list of Number Ones were amazing, right up until 'June 2009' when JLS came on the scene with 'Beat Again' and now Taio Cruiz is on with 'Break Your Heart.'

Says it all really.
