It is amazing the times I have asked what seemed a ridiculously daft question but then had others come up to me afterwards,especially at school and university,and say I am really glad you asked that.

Joey, I am *so* happy you used the word daft twice before I sent my post. Makes me feel a whole lot better.

And it's totally true, people almost always come up later and say "thanks for taking the hit, happy you asked, now we all know." That's a nice way to do it too.
