They absolutely do not have "medication that stops Ebola". Some people's immune systems will be able to fight it off, some won't, Western countries have modern healthcare facilities and drugs (access to IV fluids and nutrition, anti-viral meds) that will help the immune system to do its' job but there is no cure other than that.

Ebola having a lower mortality rate than what is oft-quoted was a given: the death stats are based on outbreaks in areas with poor medical care and most importantly, poor sanitation. All viruses are "more lethal" in poorer countries.
