There have been comments in various areas about Aisleyne in last night's highlights show and that it didn't do her any favours.
Personally, it reminded me of why I found her an interesting HM originally. There are various levels to her which aren't contrived or as controlled as a lot of reality 'stars'. Yes, there's the 'public persona' side which everyone has to a degree but beyond that we saw someone get drunk and then go through various stages of insecurity, embarrassment and ultimately reveal a vulnerability which remains despite nearly a decade of being (by reality TV standards) famous. I found it quite reassuring that these basic human qualities are still there, although for her own happiness it would be nice to think that she could meet at least one bloke whom she could trust (and who would deserve it, perhaps more to the point). BB used to be at least partly about actual human ineraction and the affect the situation had on people's characters. Over the years, it has concentrated more on stage-managed controversy but this was a brief glimpse of a HM's inner workings. Okay, now back to the timewarp and guest Z-listers. No, after you, I insist! Last edited by Vicky.; 29-06-2015 at 10:28 AM. Reason: No need for the comments about fans... |
