The problem is, it's hard to articulate a thought and remember a scenario clearly to give examples when you're put on the spot and under pressure. Yes she has every right to ask for an explanation but the only way to get a real explanation, is to ask the person saying it to go off and have a think about it, and then let them know the reason. Pressuring people for an immediate answer makes them flustered and unable to respond, which allows the person to say "Essackly! Essackly! You can't fink of a reason coz u is da liar".

It's trying to make a point, rather than looking for a genuine explanation.

I mean... I can think of plenty of people who I *know* that I think of as being nasty / crappy people off the top of my head. You'd have to give me 10 minutes to think about it to tell you exactly why for each one with examples, though.
